Birthday cake

It has been a very busy week with lots of family birthdays, my daughters, myself, grand-daughter, various nieces, nephews and friends. All Libra birthsigns but all of us so different. My younger daughter who lives in Australia celebrated with her partner and lots of their new friends with a party, I would loved to have been there.

It was a very "special" one as she turned 30 this year, where does the time go? How I thank the Mum of one of their friends, because she made her a lovely cake.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, from one loving Mum to another.

28 years ago - I can't believe it !

Gift

Julian went away on busniess today and returned with a gift for me. My first book on Quilting, so all the others I borrowed from the library can be returned. No excuses now, I will have to start my first quilt.

Yorkshire coast weekend

We just had four very nice days away in coastal Yorkshire, visiting Filey, Robin Hoods Bay, Runswick Bay, Sandsend, Stathes and Whitby. The weather was glorious, warm and sunny albeit a little windy. Downcliffe House Hotel is a privately owned boutique hotel where Darren nand Lindsey made us very welcome. The fresh air, long walks and relaxation was a refreshing break that we so needed after being so busy for quite some time at home.
