At The Altar
Went to David and Laura's Wedding on Saturday at a delightful village church in Stallingborough, North East Lincolnshire. The service was conducted by a female minister who had pink streaks in her hair but this did not affect her very nice and cheerful service. She had also conducted the service for the brides sister exactly one year ago which was quite sentimental for her and the family.
Unforntunately it rained for most of the day but the very entusiastic photographer still managed to get us all together for lots of unusual photographs.
The evening celebrations were supported with a disco and an exeptional live band to which the majority of guests danced to, until well past midnight. So tired today...........

Unfortunately I have been neglecting my blog due to an over load of work. We also bought a new computer which brought along additional problems. Having being used to XP for so long, Vista has taken some getting used to but hey we got there in the end.........
Perhaps the wrong time to change over, when so much time has been dedicated to setting up the new website. Spreadsheets, Data bases, making sure all the relevant information is correct. Scanning so many fabric samples was so tedious, however it has all been so rewarding as we are almost there, thankfully. So much to do and such little time to do it all but it does keep the brain active being so busy, so they say!!!!

Accross the Humber

Humber Bridge
Julian's Bower in Alkborough

We drove accross the Humber Bridge from our home in North Lincolnshire to Hull today which is only around 20 miles with lovely views accross the Lincolnshire and Yorkshire countryside. Up until a few years ago the bridge used to be the longest single span bridge in the world. Just a few miles up the road in Alkborough there is the oldest Medieval maze called Julian's Bower which is also worth a visit on a bright sunny day as the views there over the Humber estuary are quite specacular.

Flowers

It has been a busy few days with Julian away in Belgium, visiting fabric mills to source new fabric designs with a client. Thursday evening I had a girls night in with a few friends around, some very kindly brought me flowers for the occassion. This inspired to to take pictures of floral arrangements I have around my home.

Sunday cycling

We have had some glorious weather over the past few days which encouraged us to get out the cycles and enjoy the countryside which surrounds us.

Who likes motors bikes................

Honda Fireblade
My daughter's partner just bought a new motor bike and I dread the thought of her on the pillion, even though I used to go on the back of my boyfriend as a young girl. Today the machines are certainly built for speed as well as style.
